Community guidelines
AvatarShot is for everyone who loves virtual worlds. These rules keep it welcoming and safe.
Share what you have the right to share
Post your own shots or images you have permission to share. Credit the creators, designers and places featured in your photos whenever you can.
Mark 18+ content
Nudity and sexual content must be marked 18+, and can only be posted in worlds that allow it on AvatarShot. Unmarked adult content will be hidden.
Profile pictures and covers: all ages
Your profile picture, your cover and group covers are shown to everyone, including people who haven’t enabled Mature or 18+ content. They must be suitable for all ages: no nudity or sexual content. They are checked automatically, and pictures that break this rule are removed.
Zero tolerance for sexualised minors
Any sexual content involving minors, or avatars designed to look like children, is forbidden and leads to immediate account removal and, where required, reporting to the authorities.
Young-looking characters: never Mature or 18+
Avatars, anime characters and AI images that look like children or young teenagers must never appear in Mature or 18+ content, sexual poses or suggestive situations, even if they are “adults in the story”. This applies everywhere on AvatarShot, and the Anime and AI Art feeds never show 18+ shots at all. Breaking this rule leads to removal and account closure.
Label AI images
AvatarShot celebrates photography taken inside virtual worlds. Images generated or heavily changed with generative AI are welcome only when labelled “Made with generative AI”, so everyone can choose what they see. Unlabelled AI images can be reported, relabelled by the team, or removed.
Be respectful
No harassment, hate speech, threats or doxxing. Respect people’s privacy both inside and outside virtual worlds.
No spam
Do not flood the feed, post misleading links or use AvatarShot for unsolicited advertising.
Private messages are still AvatarShot
The same rules apply in direct messages. No unsolicited promotion or mass messaging, no sexual messages to people who didn’t ask for them, and never ask a member under 18 to move to another app or platform. Use Block and Report: reported messages are reviewed by the team.
Invite people honestly
Share your profile and your shots as much as you like, but don’t spam links, create fake accounts or pay for traffic to earn Ambassador rewards. Abuse means losing rewards and, in serious cases, the account.
Play fair in the Colosseum
Enter challenges and the Colosseum with your own shots that follow the theme. Contests are for human creativity: AI images cannot take part, and hiding the use of AI to compete can cost you the prize. Ask friends and your community to vote as much as you like, but never use extra accounts, bots, or buy or trade votes: faked votes are removed and can cost you the challenge and your account.
Enforcement
We may hide content and suspend accounts that break these guidelines. If you see something wrong, use the report option on the shot page or in the conversation. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal from the Help & support page.
