I only meant to check on the horses for a minute. Now I’ve been leaning against this gate for quite a while, soaking up the autumn sun and doing a remarkably good job of forgetting everything else I was supposed to get done today.

Behind me, something rustles in the golden grass, and a soft snort drifts out of the stable. Nobody here seems particularly interested in rushing around—and honestly? I’m happy to follow their lead.

And you? Are you going to stand over there, or keep me company for a while? You don’t even have to say anything. Sometimes it’s just nice to share a moment like this with someone.

Maybe we’ll just stay here until the sun slips behind the trees. And if your “just stopping by for a minute” turns into a little longer … I certainly won’t be the one reminding you of the time. 🍂🤎

Perfect day for a bareback ride.. rest beneath an apple tree and treat your horse and yourself to an apple. Lovely composition - you certainly know how to live in the moment, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of all the season and the setting have to offer.
